Non-essential material below the engine, fuel tank, and diffs was removed to allow for the lightest weight and lowest possible center of gravity and to ensure required and necessary chassis flex. The downstop setscrew area has been greatly reinforced, and all screw holes on the bottom of the chassis are countersunk for a smooth chassis underside with no protruding screw heads.
The completely-redesigned chassis provides a solid foundation. All-new weight distribution was integrated into the car design, with centralized placement of internal parts for improved side-to-side weight balance.
The new chassis gives increased stability and improved handling in all different racing conditions. The redistributed weight balance ensures improved jumping and handling through bumpy sections. The refined stability makes the car easier to drive.
Due the nature of the aluminum material and the machining process, it is normal that the chassis may be slightly bent in the longitudinal direction.
